UENO WHALE AND OLTA

i said hello to the whale in ueno park today and later on i had a meeting with ambitious and original art collective olta and their gallerists watanabe maho and matsumoto ayako at nap gallery : a lot to take in but it is clear to me that their take on performance art and visual/sculptural representation would be a more than valuable contribution to translation theme park : what i have seen is as enjoyable as disturbing and produces energetic images and dramatic sequences inside my head : the group travels a lot around the world and their art is a travelling kind of art : sometimes full of postapocalyptic sadness as well as joyful absurd choreography : olta consists of inoue toru umeda gosuke kawamura kazuhide saito takafumi hasegawa yoshiro meguninja jang-chi [leif h]
